This is an official picture taken from a plane and shows Gourock's
harbour. The ferry to Donoon is just leaving at the point near the train terminal from
Glasgow between the
harbour and the West bay. We live
on the West bay which lies behind the church tower. In the middle of the
picture you can see the Holy Loch.
This is Loch Long seen from the house. A few weeks ago the trees had
no leaves yet and we could see the houses on the road which runs along the
water. That's Kilgreggan on the other side of the Firth of Clyde.

This is the view straight out of the windows. On the left is the Holy
Loch, on the right that's Loch Long again. In the foreground is the bottom
of our garden. Below you can see the process of gardening (fight against
slugs and birds eating the seedlings...).

More to the left, on the other shore is Hunter's Quay at the edge of the Holy Loch. It is
the destination of another car ferry you can just see on the very left.
The following pictures were taken during one of our outings towards the
North.

We drove along Loch Riddon first. Here we see the Kyles of Bute
(Bute is the island on the right). I like all these exotic names!

It was an adventure to see the locks working at the mouth of a canal
which connects the inner lochs with the Atlantic Ocean. Lobsters in ice
were unloaded from a trawler onto a truck.

The same day we also visited these standing stones called "Temple Wood Stone
Circle."
There will be pictures of Amiten after he has been to the barber. Never
mind...
